I bring clarity before action.

Gal Shimon · Strategic Marketing Consultant

A short introduction

I am a strategic marketing consultant. My role is not simply to help organisations market themselves — it is to help them see themselves clearly, first.

Most of the work I am asked to do sits before the campaign. Before the launch. Before the next round. It sits in the quiet room where a founder or an executive team is trying to decide what is actually true about their organisation, and what has to be said about it.

My value there is not execution. It is the strategic thinking that makes execution worth doing.

Belief · 002

Why I believe clarity comes before action.

Most of what fails in marketing does not fail because the execution was poor. It fails because the organisation moved before it had decided what it was, who it was for, and why now.

The teams I work with are almost never short on ideas. They are short on the framing that lets them choose between them without regret.

Clarity, in this practice, is a kind of infrastructure. It is what lets a leadership team move faster later, because they are no longer negotiating the same questions every quarter.

Practice · 003

How I approach strategic marketing.

As a partner, not a vendor

I integrate into the leadership conversation. The best work happens when I am the second person a founder calls, not the third.

Slowly, then quickly

Discovery is unhurried. The output — once we have it — is decisive, and written to be used.

Language before design

The words come first. Every other artefact follows from them, and is easier to make once they exist.

Across sectors

Impact, technology, healthcare, education, culture and growing companies. The frame travels; the answer does not.
